Capital City Dragons (NCAWPA Youth Program)
The NCAWPA Youth Dragon Boat team is a weekly paddling program for teens (both male and female) ages 12+. Learn to paddle a dragon boat, meet new friends, develop leadership skills, and have fun!
No Experience is required!
The 2016 youth membership fee is $85, but you can attend as many practices as you need to see if you like the sport and want to join the team. The fees go toward sustaining our non-profit organization, covering paddler insurance costs, and maintaining boating and boathouse equipment.
Practices usually take place Sunday 9:30 AM - 11:15 AM. New paddlers are asked to arrive at 9:15 AM for orientation. RSVP to attend a free practice by completing this contact form then follow the information under Youth Trial Practice for the required waiver and information on how to prepare for your first dragon boat practice.
