DC Dragons -Beginner's Team

Picture
Are you ready to get on the water with a fun, driven, and welcoming team?

Join DC Dragons for our beginner dragon boat program, designed to take you from your first stroke to race day in just a few weeks!

Our 8 week program begins May 30 and runs on Saturdays at 9:30 AM at the Anacostia Community Boathouse in Washington, DC (1900 M Street SE). You’ll train alongside experienced coaches and teammates, building skills, confidence, and connections on the water.

This program is built for beginners—no experience necessary. You’ll learn proper paddling technique, train as part of a team, and work toward competing in the Baltimore Dragon Boat Festival on July 25.

Throughout the program DC Dragons coaches, bringing decades of combined paddling experience, will guide you every step of the way. Along the way, you’ll get a great workout, meet new people, and experience the energy of racing as a crew.
Spots are limited to ensure a high-quality coaching experience. Sign up by May 23.

The program fee is $150 (ages 25+) / $100 (ages 18–24) and includes all practices, race entry, and a team jersey. If you choose to join DC Dragons after the program, your fee will be applied toward membership dues.
