DC Dragons 2021 Practice Schedule
Wednesdays: 6:30 to 8:00 PM
Saturdays: 6:50 to 8:30 AM
Sundays: 7:50 to 9:30 AM - Novices welcome!
Please contact us before coming out with us to ensure you have a spot on the boat.
Regardless of your experience, we're always excited to have new paddlers join us.
We welcome novices to any of our weekend practices. We will have a coach who will work with you for the first hour of practice on dry land showing you basic paddling technique while the rest of the team does their workout. Novices will then join the rest of the team for the final 30 minutes of practice to work on technique drills and lower-intensity workouts to provide an easy entry to the sport.
Important: weekday practices are shorter and will be comprised of just a workout with no special technique portion. Novices are encouraged to attend weekend practices only until they and the coach agree they are ready for full workouts.
Don't forget! Bring a water bottle (or two) and sunglasses or a cap with a brim or visor if it's sunny. Wear comfortable clothing and shoes that you don't mind getting wet (the best materials are quick drying synthetics). Also, don’t forget sunscreen.
