Liz Hum, Secretary
Liz participated annually with youth festival teams and later with East Rising, her lion dance troupe's team, at the Washington DC Dragon Boat Festival since 2003. After graduating college, she joined DC Dragons in 2010 and has been hooked on paddling since! |
Barbara Burr
Barb joined GoPink!DC in 2016 and has been dragon boating for “fitness, fun and friendship” ever since. She has served on the GoPink!DC Board and now on the NCAWPA Board. Paddles Up! |
Hung Cheung
Hung began his paddling career in 2016 after watching some grueling dragon boat racing in Lewes, Delaware. He has since competed internationally with DC Dragons and Team USA, Sr. C. Hung is also an avid sailor and was the commodore of the sailing club during his college days at Loyola in Baltimore. |

Andy Darrow
Andy has always loved the water and joined a DB festival team in 2005 in Philadelphia. He soon began outrigger paddling, and after relocating to the DC area in 2016, joined NCAWPA. Through the years Andy has competed in numerous OC6 and small boat races and paddled with Team USA’s Senior B division in 5 DB World Championships. |
David O'Brien
David paddles, rows, and is a boathouse board member. He started paddling after moving to DC as a newly graduated engineer and wanted a fun way to exercise and compete. |

Darlene Tzou
Darlene started dragon boating in 2017 with a community festival team at the DC Dragon Boat Festival and caught the paddling bug, joining DC Dragons shortly after! When she's not paddling, you can find her out rock climbing, dancing, or volunteering with mental health and adaptive sport organizations! |
Zelda Zhao
Zelda joined DC Dragons after graduating from her youth team dragon boat team. Since then, she has competed internationally on Team USA’s Premier and U24 dragon boat teams and found a love for long distance with NCA Outrigger. |
